Ethiopia is a LDC with a total area of 1,104,300 sq km. 1,000,000 sq km is land area, and the other 104,300 sq km is water area. It is a bit less than twice the size of Texas. Ethiopia borders Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, and Eritrea. It has 5328 km of land borders. It has no coastline. Ethiopia has a tropical monsoon climate, and it receives around 41 inches of rain per year. The terrain is a plateau, with mountain ranges, and those are divided by the Great Rift Valley. The point of lowest elevation is Danakil Depression, at 125 meters below sea level, and the highest point is Ras Dejen, at 4533 meters above sea level, which is pretty high (>12,000 ft).
